Vadodara: 3D AR Park was unveiled for visitors at Sayajibaug Aviary in Vadodara. The 3D AR Park will double the experience of visitors with Virtual Bird Encounters. Now they can feel the bird, get its details and even click pictures and selfies with them. This is probably the first of its kind project inside a zoo anywhere in India as claimed Trium Designs Private Limited.
With efforts from Vadodara Zoo and Trium Designs Private Limited, this 3D AR Park offers visitors an immersive and educational experience as the technology employed in the park, beautifully integrates virtual elements with the aviary’s serene environment.
After 4 months of hard work, Ankit Patel, Sanket Kale and his team unveiled this 3D AR Park with zoo officials to give visitors a new experience during their visit to the aviary. Sayajibaug Zoo curator Prathush Patankar and other officials helped them design real 3D images of birds which are exotic and one of them is distinct now. The aim is to create a virtual world for the visitors where they can experience moving with the bird and get details about its origin, habitat and others.
Visitors can now embark on an extraordinary journey, discovering virtual representations of various bird species through their smartphones using the VueXR app. From extinct birds to rare and exotic species, the AR Park showcases a captivating collection of 3D models, including Spoonbill, Great Cormorant, White stork, Barnacle Goose, Roseate Spoonbill, Toco Toucan, Pteranodon (Dinosaur Bird), Cassowary, Macaw.
The visitors simply need to scan the designated QR codes strategically placed throughout the aviary. The combination of technology and nature offers an engaging and educational experience for individuals and families visiting the aviary.
“The unveiling of the 3D AR Park marks a significant milestone in our commitment to innovation and preserving the beauty of our natural heritage. We believe this immersive experience will inspire visitors to appreciate the wonders of our ecosystem and contribute to wildlife conservation efforts. It will be our effort to give back to the society and create a new ecosystem for education with latest cutting edge technology”, said Sanket Kale, Co-Founder & CEO and Ankit Patel, Co-Founder & COO of Trium Designs Private Limited.
Families, nature enthusiasts, and school groups are encouraged to explore the aviary and immerse themselves in the awe-inspiring world of virtual birds.
Zoo curator, Dr. Pratyush Patankar said, we are including new things inside the zoo for visitors and this 3D AR park is the newest addition. It’s a beautiful combination of real and virtual world together where visitors can feel the birds which are exotic, not here in the zoo and extinct. The 3D image with details gives visitors a new experience and they are immersed in the awe-inspiring world of virtual birds. This is the first of its kind facility in Vadodara zoo.
