Ahmedabad: Vishwa Umiya Foundation today announced Shilanyas of Gujarat's tallest temple of Goddess Umiya on 28-29 February this year at Jaspur-Ahmedabad based Umiya Dham.
A 431-ft (131 meter) high temple is designed by German and Indian architects jointly. Its view gallery will be located at 270 ft (82 meter) height from where a glimpse of Ahmedabad city will be visible.

Vadodara: Pavagadh ropeway which takes pilgrims from foothills of Pavagadh hill to Mahakali temple atop the hill will remain closed during 24 to 29 February due to maintenance. After a week long break for maintanance, the ropeway will again function with effect from March 1.

Sarangpur: A 54 ft high Hanuman murti in 'Parakram posture' will be installed at Kashtahanjan Dev Hanuman temple here on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti this year on April 8.
As many as 85 skillful workers from Jaipur-Makrana in Rajasthan are in process to make this murti for last one month. They are working round the clock.
The murti will have over 500 tonne weight. It is being made using black granite. At present, the head/face and gada parts are in making.
