Ahmedabad: Shri Jashomatinandandasji, president of The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) Mandir Ahmedabad and Zonal Secretary of ISKCON Gujarat passed away today at 5.00 pm after prolong illness pertaining to Covid-19 infection. He was admitted for last few days in Science City road based Shalin hospital due to Covid-19 infection with co-morbid conditions, said Kalanath Chaitanya Das, vice president of Kathwada ISKCON temple.

Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat has today clarified that permission for holding Puja and Aarti during Navratri festival will not be required in the cases in which residential societies of flats when Pooja - Aarti is going to take place within their premises. Ahmedabad: The Government of Gujarat has released guidelines for upcoming festivals of Navratri Garba, Dussehra, Diwali, Bestu Varsh and Sharad Poonam with effect of 16 October 2020.
As per the decision taken by the State government, no public events of Garba will be allowed in the State during Navratri.
Garbi and Murti installation and pooja and aarti will be allowed at open spaces during Navatri but touch (charan sparsh) of photo or murti will not be allowed.

Dehradun: The Ambani family has donated Rs five crore to Uttarakhand Chardham Devasthanam Board to help it tide over financial losses suffered by it amid the COVID-19 lockdown.
The donation was made by Anant Ambani, son of Reliance Group chairman Mukesh Ambani on the request of the board's Additional CEO B D Singh, the media cell of the board said on Wednesday.
Singh had requested the Ambanis to extend a helping hand to the board to pay salaries to its employees, it said quoting Singh.
