New Delhi: The Election Commission of India today announced election schedule for 55 Rajya Sabha seats that would go vacant in the month of April. Among them are 4 Rajya Sabha seats in Gujarat.

Gandhinagar: BJP veteran LK Advani is no more a voter in Gujarat. Delhi based Advani yesterday cast his vote in Delhi for state assembly election. Advani registered as voter in Shahpur area of Ahmedabad city where then State headquarters of BJP was located in early 1990s. Since then he would come to Ahmedabad to cast his vote during every election in Gujarat. His name lately has been deleted from voters list in Ahmedabad.

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani will address four public meetings in poll-bound national capital Delhi on Monday.
This will be Rupani's third day in Delhi assembly general assembly campaign. He had last week visited Delhi for two days for campaign.
On Monday, Rupani will address public meetings in Madipur, Chandni chowk and Model town assembly seat areas for BJP candidates Kailash Sankla, Sumankumar Gupta and Kapil Mishra.

Gandhinagar/Ahmedabad: Gujarat government, ruling BJP and the Industry and cooperative sector in the state have lauded the union budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman while main opposition Congress has criticized it.
CM Vijay Rupani in his initial reaction called it an all-inclusive budget.
DyCM Nitin Patel said that steps to strengthen the economy has been taken and special focus has been put on doubling the income of farmers by 2020.
