Gujarat government reduces charges for Covid tests by private labs

Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat has today cut the rates of Covid-19 tests conducted by private laboratories. Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel who is also State's Health minister today said private labs will have to charge Rs. 2500 for each Covid-19 test, when sample is collected at laboratory itself. When sample is collected by private laboratory at home or at hospital, the charge will be Rs. 3,000.
