Gandhinagar: Four tents along with the luggage of tourists were gutted by fire at Dhordo based tent city today. The tent city located next to Great Rann of Kutch is set up every winter for tourism festival called 'Rann Utsav'. Three of four tents that gutted by fire were allocated to NRIs (Non Resident Indians) while one tent was vacant. Cloths and luggage of tourists in three tents are destroyed in fire. Bhuj: 1,15,357 visitors visited white Rann of Kutch since 11 November this year. In less than one month, the district administration has earned Rs. 1.2 crore as entry permit fee from visitors at Bhirandiyara and Dhordo check posts. Highest number of visitors visited the white Rann of Kutch during 22-26 December. Rann Utsav this year is going to continue till Holi. Compared to previous year, this year so far the total number of visitors are lesser by 35%.

Ahmedabad: CM Vijay Rupani today inaugurated the 31st International Kite Festival of Gujarat at the Sabarmati riverfront here today.
Over 140 kite flying experts from more than 40 countries and around 800 from Gujarat and almost 200 from 12 other states are participating in the festival which is simultaneously being organized at 9 places across the state including Kevadiya, Surat and Vadodara.
The high commissioners of 18 countries would also attend the festival.

Ahmedabad: Gujarat Chief Minister Rupani today opened the 8th edition of Flower Show by Amdavad Municipal Corporation at Sabarmati Riverfront event ground and flower garden.
Spread over 88,500 square meter space the annual flower show will remain open for public till January 19.
Flower Show 2020, according to a note issued by the State government showcases more 750 varieties of one million plants, 200 ft green wall, various flower sculptures and more.

Ahmedabad: Flower Show by AMC for year 2020 will be held at Sabarmati Riverfront between 4 - 19 January.
According to a statement issued by the State government, the flower show 2020 will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani.
Year 2020 edition of Flower Show will be having a theme dedicated to 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The venue will have Gandhiji with spinning wheel, Dandi march, salt satyagrah and other installations.
