1.93 lakh tourists visited Gir Sanctuary in a year: Government

Gandhinagar: More than 1.93 lakh visitors visited Gir sanctuary in last one year. Out of these total 1,93,415 tourists, 1,86,918 were Indian citizens while 6,497 were from abroad. The State government earned Rs. 4,92,00,350 (Rs. 4.92 crore) revenue. Tourists need to do online booking on www.girlion.gujarat.gov.in. Refund is made on cancellation of booking. Gandhinagar: Rann Utsav in Kutch attracted over 7.28 lakh visitors in the year 2023, far more than 2.07 lakh visitors in 2022. Among theses visitors, 4,353 were foreign nationals in 2022 and 8,322 in 2023. The government witnessed entry fee of Rs. 3.25 crore in 2023 compared to Rs. 1.72 crore in 2022.
