New Delhi: Airport Authority of India (AAI) today signed three concession agreements with the Adani Airports Ltd for operations, management and development of Ahmedabad, Lucknow and Mangaluru airports through Public Private Partnership (PPP).
It is yet not clear when Adani Airports Ltd will take over the operations of these airports. There was speculation that takeover could be possible in the month of April this year.

New Delhi:The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the proposal for leasing out of three airports viz. Ahmedabad, Lucknow and Mangaluru of Airports Authority of India (AAI) through Public Private Partnership (PPP) to the highest bidder i.e. M/s. Adani Enterprises Ltd. who quoted the highest bid for these airports, for operation, management and development under PPP for a lease period of 50 years as per the terms and conditions of the bid documents.

Rajkot: Anil Ambani’s Reliance Infrastructure (RInra) said the company has bagged a Rs 648 crore contract from the Airport Authority of India to build a new airport at Hirasar, in Rajkot district of Gujarat.
The new airport is being constructed near National Highway-8B connecting Ahmedabad and Rajkot, nearly 36 km from the existing Rajkot Airport. The company emerged winner among nine bidders that included Larsen & Toubro, Dilip Buildcon and Gayatri Projects.
