An aircraft of the cash-crunched pubic sector airliner Air India has been lying grounded at Vadodara airport in Gujarat for over two weeks as it was unable to replace its faulty engine owing to tax dues related issues, official sources today said.

New Delhi: The Air India on Wednesday rerouted its flights overflying Iran to Europe and US in the wake of a missile strike by Tehran on US airbases in Iraq.

Rajkot: The daily Rajkot-Mumbai flight of public sector Air India will be operated only for three days a week from July to September.
According to Air India sources the flight which is operated daily from this central city of Saurashtra would be run only on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Surat: First international flight from Surat airport to Sharjah in United Arab Emirates(UAE) will be flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 30th. However formal operation of this service will commence only from February 16.

Gandhinagar: Air India has announced new flights to Prayag, formerly known as Allahabad, for Kumbh Mela 2019. The operation of these flights – from Delhi, Ahmedabad and Kolkata – will remain into effect between January 13 to March 30.

Surat: International flight service is not likely to start soon from Surat airport even after all linked facilities such as custom and immigration area in place.

Ahmedabad: The Air Indian Flight to Newark via London from Mumbai with 130 passengers on board has been grounded at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport here since landing early morning due to technical snags, Airport Director Manoj Gangal said today.

Mumbai: Full emergency was declared at 8.15 pm today for Ahmedabad - Mumbai Air India flight AI 985 due to hydraulic failure, said Mumbai Airport's Public Relation Office(PRO). The flight landed at 8.36 pm safely, added news agency ANI. More details are awaited.
