Ahmedabad: A designated CBI court here today sentenced life terms to the seven accused of the sensational murder of RTI activist Amit Jethwa, including former BJP MP Dinu Bodha Solanki.
The court of designated CBI court judge K M Dave which had held them guilty in this nine year old case on July 6 and reserved the verdict to be delivered today also imposed a total fine of Rs 59,25,000 on the accused.

A Supreme Court bench of Justices SS Nijjar and FM I Kalifulla on Tuesday denied bail to BJP MP from Junagadh Gujarat Dinu Solanki in connection with the murder of activist Amit Jethava. The decision was taken by the court after CBI's submission that they needed at least six more weeks to probe the case and Solanki was required to be confronted with other accused. The Supreme Court on Monday said the CBI was "hoodwinking" the procedure in its investigation into the murder of RTI activist Amit Bhikabhai Jethwa in which Gujarat BJP MP Dinubhai Boghabhai Solanki was arrested after being summoned as a witness.

Dinu Solanki, BJP Lok Sabha MP from Junagadh, Gujarat who is accused of playing role in year 2010 Amit Jethwa murder case was today taken to Kodinar.
Solanki is on four days remand. Investigation agency Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) today took him to Kodinar and carried out search at his farm house and residence.

CBI court at Ahmedabad's Mirzapur area today sent Gujarat BJP's Junagadh MP Dinu Solanki to four days remand in year 2010 Amit Jethwa murder case.
Dinu Solanki's advocate Mitesh Amin said, "we opposed CBI's demand to give 14 days remand. The court partly allowed CBI application and gave remand till 11 November 3.00 pm."
Solanki's lawyer told court that Solanki was arrested at this stage because he is associated with a political party.

The Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) on Tuesday arrested Gujarat BJP MP from Junagadh Dinu Bogha Solanki in Amit Jethwa murder case.
Solanki had to appear before CBI today morning following an order by court. After several hours of questioning he was arrested.
