Gandhinagar: A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed here today to set up a flying car manufacturing plant in Gujarat by Netherlands based private company PAL-V. The company intends to start commercial production in mid next year (2021).

Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat will come out with a policy to encourage the use of e-vehicle, said state Energy minister Saurabh Patel while dedicating five e-vehicles taken on five-year lease by Gujarat government arm Uttar Gujarat Vij Company Ltd (UGVCL). A tender for e-vehicle was issued by the Centre following which the Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL) has taken 18 e-vehicles on lease. 5 of them are leased to UGVCL. Automakers Ford Motor Company and Mahindra & Mahindra have signed a new agreement to create a joint venture that will develop, market and distribute Ford vehicles in India.
The announcement confirms that the joint venture will see Ford transfer ownership of its Sanand and Chennai facilities to Mahindra under the new JV. Mahindra owns a 51 per cent controlling stake in the new joint venture and the remaining 49 per cent owned by Ford.
