Palanpur: Banas Dairy in North Gujarat today announced Rs. 1144 crore hike in payment to milk producers which comes to 16.66%.
Addressing the 52nd annual general meeting (AGM) of Banas Dairy, Chairman Shankar Chaudhary made this announcement.

Diyodar (Banaskantha): A new complex of the Banaskantha District Cooperative Milk Producers Union Ltd, better known as Banas Dairy, would be set up in Diyodar area, its chairman and former minister Shankar Chaudhary today informed.
Palanpur based Banas dairy, the largest among the 18 dairies under the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd (GCMMF), which owns brand Amul, procures around 50 lakh liters of milk per day from more than 3.5 lakh milk producers.

Palanpur: Banas Dairy is planning for 12,000 unit solar power generation across its various facilities.
At present, a 1,000 kw capacity solar power plant is functional at dairy premises in Palanpur. The dairy has also its units in Faridabad, Kanpur and Lucknow where it is planning to install solar power plants.
The dairy aims to install 12,000 unit electricity/day capacity to generate over Rs 1 lakh value of electricity everyday.
