Bhadar II achieves rule level; Sardar Sarovar dam 54% full at 121 m level

Rajkot: Bhadar II dam in Saurashtra has achieved rule leel of 52 meter, following which, the surplus water in the size of nearly 16,000 cusecs is being discharged in downstream of river Bhadar. The full reservoir level in this dam is 53.10 meter. It is 81.11 percent full at present. Rajkot: Due to the model code of conduct in place by Election Commission, written instruction for release of Narmada water to Bhadar dam from Aaji-1 could not be given by the State government under SAUNI scheme, it is learnt. Gandhinagar, 13 August, 2011 With great amount of rains this week(still continuing), water level at Sardar Sarovar Narmada Dam is now at 120.24 metres against its crest level of 121.92 metres. This means the dam was filled up to 94% of its total storage capacity according to officials.
