Gandhinagar: Works for Bhadbhut barrage project have kicked off today, said Gujarat government statement.
The statement said: The project once completed will offer potable water to areas located on the bank of river Narmada including Bharuch and Ankleshwar. Bhadbhut barrage will also offer water for irrigation and for industries. The project will also prevent further spread of salinity.

Gandhinagar: Chief Minister Rupani will allocate plots to 138 industrialists of Gujarat at GIDC, Chhatar Mittanna, Tankara of Morbi by an e-draw through video-conferencing from Gandhinagar, on Monday.

Dahej: National Green Tribunal has directed chemical company Yashashvi Rasayan Pvt Ltd to deposit Rs. 25 crore for June 3 incident of blast at company's Dahej plant in which 10 persons were dead and over 75 were injured.
The fire had spread rapidly and also caused damage to the second plant in the factory. The mishap left ten workers dead (6 on the spot & 4 at the time of hospital treatment) and injured 78. Out of 78, 34 have been discharged, 44 are stable.

Dahej: At least 7 people died and 40 injured today when a blast occurred in the reactor of a chemical factory in Dahej industrial area of Bharuch district in Gujarat, police said.
Superintendent of Police Rajendrasinh Chudasama said that the blast occurred in the reactor of Yashashvi Chemicals Private Ltd situated in the GIDC area of Dahej, a big chemical units hub.

Gandhinagar: Ghogha - Dahej RoRo Ferry with combined efforts for Government of Gujarat and Central Government will resume tidal operations from 24th February, 2020.
Presently, ferry will operate in tide(high water) and in daylight. It will make one round trip each day. Government has assured that dredging at Dahej will continue to provide sufficient draft for ferry for two round trips a day.

Bharuch: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today performed bhoomi pujan for Rs. 881 crore 100 MLD capacity desalination plant for industrial purpose at Dahej in Bharuch district of Central Gujarat. Proposed plant will come up over 25 hectare land.

Bharuch: A ro-ro ferry service operating between Dahej in Central Gujarat and Ghogha in Saurashtra region of Gujarat has been suspended for indefinite period due to inadequate depth of water at Dahej terminal based approach channel and turning circle.
