E-FIR System gets 156 applications in 48 hours of its launch

Gandhinagar: The e-FIR system of Gujarat Police received 156 applications within 48 hours after its launch. The e-FIR app was launched at the hands of Union home minister Amit Shah on 23rd July. It has received 156 applications from the state within 48 hours of the launch. The highest number of applications were received from Gandhinagar which is 56; followed by 27 in Mehsana, 24 in Amdavad, 4 in Vadodara, 2 in Dang, and 2 in Dahod. Gujarat Govt announces online E-FIR service for vehicle and mobile phone theft

Gandhinagar: Gujarat government has started the e-FIR service through which people can file a complaint online for vehicle and mobile phone theft without going to the police station. State home minister Harsh Sanghavi informed about e-FIR service that the police will contact the complainant within 48 hours after the filing of FIR and visit the spot of the vehicle or mobile phone theft. Home Dept’s e-FIR project to allow citizens to file theft complaints online

Gandhinagar: The state home department is preparing an e-FIR project which will allow citizens to file complaints regarding mobile and vehicle thefts online without having to go to a police station. The project will be opened up for the citizens shortly once the software and portal are ready.
