Gandhinagar: The electricity demand has increased to 21 thousand megawatts in the state as the summer heat has gone up in the latter part of April. The power demand may rise further in the month of May and possibly in June till the monsoon season kick-off. The electricity demand in normal circumstances is 16 to 17 thousand megawatts.
