Among these locations are Hazira, Okha, Somnath temple, Pipavav, Dahej, Jamnagar, Ghogha, Mundra, Mandvi in Gujarat. Ahmedabad: A terminal to operate a Ro-Pax ferry has been constructed at Hazira (Surat) and all arrangements have been completed. On November 8, Ro-Pax ferry service will be launched between Hazira and Ghogha (Bhavnagar). 370 km distance to Bhavnagar from Surat will be cut down to just 60 km through this service. Gandhinagar: Ghogha - Dahej RoRo Ferry with combined efforts for Government of Gujarat and Central Government will resume tidal operations from 24th February, 2020. Presently, ferry will operate in tide(high water) and in daylight. It will make one round trip each day. Bharuch: A ro-ro ferry service operating between Dahej in Central Gujarat and Ghogha in Saurashtra region of Gujarat has been suspended for indefinite period due to inadequate depth of water at Dahej terminal based approach channel and turning circle. Gandhinagar: Gujarat government arm Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB) has invited RFP (Request for Proposal) for selection of operator for ferry services for Ghogha - Hazira, Rozi(Jamnagar) - Old Mundra and Okha - Mandvi sea routes in Gujarat. Ghogha Hazira route will connect Saurashtra to Surat city directly. Hazira is located next to Surat in South Gujarat.
