Junagadh: 406 youths from across the country, participated in Girnar ascending - descending competition today. Of them 205 completed it in prescribed time limit. Bhumika Bhut, Lalabhai Parmar, Lalit Nishad, Tamsi Singh emerged winners. While boys had to step 5500 steps in 90 minutes up/down, the girls had to step 2200 steps in 75 minutes up/down.

Junagadh: Girnar ascending, descending competition will be held with the use of latest technology this year.
Scheduled to take place on February 9, the national level competition to reach peak of Gujarat and return will see use of latest chip timing system which is also used in police recruitment, marathon run and Olympic sports.

Junagadh: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today during his visit to Junagadh district reviewed the progress of ongoing Girnar ropeway project. Gandhinagar: Gujarat government today said that Girnar rope way will be functional by December this year and 80% work to create Jungle Safari near Statue of Unity site is over.
According to a statement issued by the State government, the State Wildlife Board meeting convened today took in-principle decision to allote Forest department land over Ambaji peak of Girnar mountain to tourism and pilgrim development board. Junagadh: A lion cub was today rescued in Girnar Sanctuary here with the help of special lion-ambulance, first of its kind in the whole country which was launched by CM Vijay Rupani last month.
CCF D T Vasavada said that the ambulance was rushed to the spot when information was received from foresters about a two and a half month lion cub looking frail and ill.

Junagadh: Despite use of drone cameras to track a Jain Muni, who is missing for almost a week since his visit to Girnar mountain here, the police so far has not been able to find him.
Police said that Digambar Jain Muni Mudit Sararji (35) had left for Girnar from Nirmal Sagar Dhyan Kendra Dharmshala in the wee hours of January 23.
He has been missing from Sahsavan forest area since that day. The manager of the Dharmashala Bhagchand had lodged the report in this regard.

Junagadh: More than 6 lakh devotees have completed the Lilli parikrama (taking a round) of Girnar mountain here even before the formal inauguration of it slated for midnight tonight.
