Ahmedabad: Amid the general economic slowdown in the country, Leading Private Sector Bank HDFC today claimed that its MSME loan book in Gujarat, one the leading Industrial state, has crossed Rs 15000 mark and it has seen an increase of 30% Year on Year.
Addressing a press conference here Country Head- Business Banking of the Bank, Sumant Rampal said that the gross NPA of the bank in MSME sector in Gujarat at 1.12% was also less than the national average of 1.3% in this regard.

Ahmedabad: HDFC Bank Ltd. today announced that it would open 25 more branches in Gujarat, taking its branch network to over 440 in the State. The Bank would open these branches by Dec 2019.

Mumbai: Leading banks, including ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank, have waived merchant discount rate (MDR) on debit cards till December 31 to facilitate payments by customers following government's move to do away with the charge levied on merchants.
Country's largest private sector lender ICICI Bank announced waiving the MDR on debit card transactions at all merchants serviced by its merchant acquiring arm ICICI Merchant Services IMSL.
It said the waiver would be effective till December 31.

Mumbai: Second largest private sector lender HDFC Bank today reported a 20.2 per cent growth in net profit to Rs 3,239 crore for the three months to June on the back of a healthy rise in core net-interest income, even as the asset quality marginally worsened.
The Aditya Puri-led bank, known for retail lending focus that has been helping it grow much higher than the industry and maintain industry-best asset quality for long, has also begun to face challenges its peers have been suffering.
