Junagadh: Gujarat Chief Minister has taken a decision to make representation in the Centre for shifting of existing railway station of Junagadh city in order to ease the traffic.
According to a statement issued by the State government, a proposal in this connection will be sent to the Centre and followup will be done. If centre give permission for a new railway station, the city of Junagadh will experience significant relief in its years old issue of traffic jam.

Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat today said it has declared Uparkot fort wall and Uparkot gate in Junagadh as protected monument of State.
According a note issued by the department of Sports, Youth and Cultural Affairs, Government of Gujarat, protected monument of Uparkot area wall and gate is spread over 2,73,733 square meter area.

Junagadh: A BJP corporator of party ruled Junagadh Muncipal Corporation was today arrested by police under the the Prevention of Anti-Social Activities Act (PASA).
Police said that corporator of ward number 3 Sukhnath Chowk Abbas Qureshi had misbehaved with the PI and PSI of A-division police station in the city. He had also threatened them.
The district collector had issued a warrant under PASA and he was arrested today and sent to Vadodara jail.

Junagadh: After a video clip of unidentified persons harassing a leopard cub went viral, State forest department is in search of those visible in the video with leopard cub.
Forest department today morning issued an appeal to identify the accused. In the afternoon, the department, further escalating its efforts announced Rs. 25,000 cash prize to one who helps identifying the accused.

Junagadh:A somewhat bizarre incident of dancing with alive snakes has come to fore in Sheel village under Mangrol taluka of Gujarat.
An over two minutes long video of this dangerous looking dance with three snakes has also gone viral. In the incident shot on October 6 during last Navratri, ladies can be seen doing Garba dance in the background with three other girls holding alive snakes in their hands.

Junagagh: A fire today broke out in a bank in Agatrai village under Keshod taluka of Junagadh district in Gujarat.
Police said that the fire broke out in the Sahkari Gramin Bank branch in the village in the morning at around 6 am. The fire fighters controlled it in around two hours.
Cash kept in the bank, fortunately remained intact but furniture and documents were burnt down.

Junagadh: A small road bridge on a local river Malanka in Mendarana taluka of Junagadh district suddenly caved in this evening.
The incident took place when a few vehicles were crossing it.
Police said that at least 4 vehicles were trapped on the broken part of the bridge and some of these also sustainend some damage but fortunately no casualty has taken place.
