New Delhi: Auto major Maruti will start manufacturing lithium-ion batteries at Gujarat joint venture plant this year. The company unveiled its Futuro-E electric vehicle concept at Auto Expo 2020 in Delhi. Batteries made in Gujarat plant will be used for hybrid and electric vehicles manufactured in India.

Ahmedabad: Gujarat Chief Minister Rupani today told railway minister Piyush Goyal that land acquisition process for Vadodara - Kevadiya (Statue of Unity) railway line project has been completed. New Delhi: The country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) Friday said it will set up a multi-speciality hospital and a senior secondary school in Sitapur in Gujarat.
Both projects will be fully-funded as CSR initiatives by MSI with an investment of around Rs 125 crore over a five-year period, it said in a statement.

Ahmedabad: Auto manufacturer UNO MINDA Group has opened two new manufacturing plants in Ahmedabad, Gujarat today,said a statement issued by the company.
The two new plants namely Minda Kosei Aluminum Wheels Ltd. (MKAW) and Mindarika Pvt Ltd (MRPL) will manufacture Alloy wheels and Switches & HVAC system respectively. Mahesana: Auto giant Maruti has joined hands with Indian Railways to transport its cars manufactured in Gujarat plant to various parts of the country via trains.
As per the pact, railways has given a space in Detroj to Maruti and also made available a facility for loading of vehicles in train.
First such train carrying 125 Swift cars will leave for Bengaluru on Saturday from Detroj. Each wagon of train will contain 5 Swift cars.
