Sabarmati: A flyover connecting Jivraj Park to Shyamal cross roads has been closed for 48 hours during 1st April 11 pm to 3rd April 5 am due to ongoing works of Metro rail project. From 3rd April to 1st July, for the period of two months and twenty eight days, Shreyas over bridge will remain closed for all types of traffic during 11 pm to 5 am. Sabarmati: Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has announced limited closure of Kavi Nhanalal over bridge during 11 pm to 6 am between 15-30 January for Metro rail project works. Kavi Nhanalal over bridge connects Swami Vivekanand Bridge to Law Garden. Alternate route has been mentioned in public announcement attached with the article.

Gandhinagar: A 6.5 km long twin underground tunnel of 5.8 diameter size each upline and downline has been completed on Apparel Park - Shahpur - Sabarmati river route of 40-km Ahmedabad Metro rail project phase-1 according to a note released by Gujarat government today. This tunnel is 18 meter below the surface. The works were completed using four tunnel boring machines. The company involved had called skilled laborers back from Odisha by air, to continue the works during Covid19 pandemic.

Ahmedabad: Private construction giant L&T has flown down 100 Odisha origin skillful 'tunneling crew' workers for 'Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project' from Bhubneshwar to Ahmedabad by air through in three batches, to complete a 4.38 km underground section of metro project assigned to L&T which also involves underground metro stations at Shahpur and Gheekanta. The workers had returned to Odisha due to lock down imposed by the government to curb Covid-19 infection spread.
