Bharuch: A free wifi internet service was launched today at Statue of Unity site in Narmada district where the tallest statue of the world featuring Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is located.
The service was launched by Chief Minister Rupani. The service has become possible with cooperation of Reliance Jio.
The Chief Minister while speaking to media persons said the government was developing a 'Vishwa Vann' (world forest) here which shall have varieties of plants from allover the world.

Bharuch: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today inaugurated Gujarat's first river rafting activity at Khalwani near Kevadiya colony in central Gujarat. Khalwani is located near Sardar Sarovar Narmada dam and Statue of Unity. The Government of Gujarat is in process to add number of new tourist attraction in this area.

Chhota Udepur: 24-villages located on the bank of river Narmada in Vadodara district's Dabhoi, Karjan and Shinor talukas are alerted for flood following scheduled release of water from Sardar Sarovar Narmada dam from 1.00 am onward tonight.
According to district collector Shalini Agrawal, Talati/Mantri of these villages are asked to convey alert to villagers.
The locals in these villages are advised to stay away from river bank of Narmada.

Rajpipla: Chief Administrator of Statue of Unity site in Kevadiya has taken a decision to increase the visiting hours of Statue of Unity by two hours with effect from 5th of February, 2019.
The Statue of Unity will now remain open for public visit during 8 am to 6 pm as per this decision.
The decision has been taken in view of upcoming summer season, according to Chief Administrator who is also Collector of Narmada district.

Gandhinagar: Gujarat government today rejected the reports that the water supplied through Narmada dam has become infected with bacteria and pollutants and was not good for drinking.
