Ahmedabad: Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad addressing a press conference in Ahmedabad today said, with effect from 2nd October, no Income Tax notice will be served directly.
Addressing the media on completion of 100 days of 2nd term of Narendra Modi led government in Centre, RS Prasad said, 'with effect from 2nd October 2019, no IT notice will be served directly. It will first go to a system for examination. Unfettered discretion of Income Tax officers will not be there anymore.'
