Gandhinagar: The Central government has granted the in-principle approval for a 20,000-megawatt offshore wind power generation project on the Gujarat coastline, say reports. An estimated Rs 16,000 crore will be invested in setting up offshore windmills, and an additional Rs 20,000 crore to Rs 24,000 crore will be invested in setting up onshore transmission infrastructure.
